Following a successful first year, STV Studios' training programme on the high-end prison drama Screw returned for a second year in 2022/23, providing vital skills development opportunities to entry-level talent in Scotland.
STV supported 21 trainees - of these, two are from ex-offending backgrounds and four 4 identify as deaf/disabled or neurodivergent - and offer several ‘Stepping Up’ opportunities across October 2022 – February 2023.
The positions recruited for include Camera, Costume, Sound, Assistant Director and Make up.
There was also a Shadowing experience for a Script Supervisor.
